i am in the process of changing.. not yet finished… most significant change I noticed is the change in the color of my dress. now it’s white….!!
many of my bad habits changed, few of them even stopped, i am comfortable with people, whom i hated previously.
i create less problems .. and i am happy with myself now….. yeah.. things changed !!

Irrespective of my concerns, thoughts, worries I have a strong feeling that AMMA is controlling my life and everything is being taken care of and I needn’t have to worry about anything. AMMA is working on me every moment. My habits have changed for the good. I get angry on very few occasions, and even if I get angry within few minutes I realise my mistake and apologize to the person who has suffered because of my behaviour. I am sure AMMA is happy when I do this.

The awareness that the “I am this” and “I am that” is a lie. I do not mean the intellectual awareness which is false like ’sugar written on a piece of paper’………. go ahead lick it, is it sweet?
No, I am nothing, I am. And there are no words, no thoughts… Lower than the dust beneath my Guru’s Sacred Lotus Feet.

I have noticed many changes inner and outer. But I am very much aware of having developed a tremendous desire to help others and a great pleasure in doing so.

I think I have changed a lot after meeting Amma. One major external change is that I have become a complete vegetarian. I have found that happiness has got a new definition which is selfless service…
O Amma, please help me in destroying my Vasanas.

    Paolito Says:
    December 13th, 2007 at 4:16 pm

I have started to understand that I have to work on myself, on my vasanas to enter the ‘light’ and go out the ‘dark’.
Of course, I’m understanding better the value of many important things like: listen to others, giving love and the importance of doing karma yoga without any expectation.
Amma gives us many possibility fo change. Many times I feel that negative situations start because we have to work on them. Through Amma’s love and negative experiences we can burn our vasanas.

I became so introspective. Trying to sense Amma’s presence at all times, by all means. Amma Sharanam.

I have largely stopped identifying as “spiritual” or “mystical”, two labels I used before I met Amma. This is not to say that I do not do spiritual practices or have devotion, but that I don’t make a big deal about them anymore. Amma helps me to feel increasingly simple and ordinary and peaceful.

    ila Says:
    December 13th, 2007 at 7:37 pm

Amma changed my life very much. Watching and listening to Amma I have come to see beauty in simplicity. I feel much more peaceful and patient towards everything happening around. I also feel less fearful of life as I psychologically depend on Amma and believe She is taking care of all my problems and needs. I feel Amma’s Grace flowing all the time in my life.
May Her Grace flow to us all, always!

Expectations came down. Acceptance increased. Mind is open for Amma to sweep clean all the vasanas accumulated over lifetimes.

it has been many years since i met AMMA. and, after all these years i can’t find any change in AMMA. not even a little.
nevertheless She changed Millions of lives.. what? did i say millions?! Yeah, and i am one among them, a small speck of dust. but i have changed a lot… by the changeless AMMA….

    saleena Says:

The biggest change in me is maybe in my attitude towards life. Before meeting Amma I used to think that I hd to trust only myself (my mind), but now I have seen that Amma takes care of me and I don’t have to worry anymore about my future. I dont have to know where to go, She leads me .

    juma Says:

Most significant change I would say, has been in my attitude and perspective. I have changed to see the positive aspects in everything in life and I have gained the tendency to help people around me without expectations. I have learnt to appreciate all the little things in life and to value every moment I breathe… I no more worry about things because I can feel Amma walking beside me in every step of my life and I can see that every thing is taken care of to the minutest details…

Since meeting amma I left an abusive marriage, quit smoking both marijuana and cigarettes, stopped having random love affairs, stopped procrastinating about sadhanna and now do it everyday no matter what. I now listen solely to bhajans, rarely socialize outside of amma’s devotees, i spend most of my money for being around Amma etc, i have no goal but to be doing her work full time. The most amazing thing is I don’t remember really things happening. I just look back four years and see that I am a completely different personality outside. Amma changed me!

    sujatha Says:

I am a constant “Work-in-progress”. The areas that Amma has helped me tremendously (at least those that I can perceive) is developing mental strength to handle people with discrimination. Also I have started enjoying being more with myself and accepting who I am.

The mind has lost sight of the shore for a very long time.
The heart like a yellow post-it note, stuck and unstuck for so many times that it has lost ii’s ” sticky”, and now has fallen under Foot.
The body like bread (kneeded) too long. It may not rise.
And deeper down, the Spirit only wants to love and serve in the Oneness of Ma.

I feel like I have somewhere to go and just let go. Love is the most important thing in life and it’s your body that doesn’t really matter. I’m not saying just neglect your body, but you can’t spend so much time on it. The swamis who travel with Amma get only as much sleep as Amma does and don’t even eat until after darshan. That is true love.

Mostly, I’ve learned to accept people as they are - to see the inner child in them and inner pain and realize that we are all working towards the goal.
Before meeting Amma, I didn’t think anyone cared about me. Now I know that the Universe is constantly - always - patiently - reaching down to try to lift me/us up. I/we just have to reach out and grab hold tight. That’s where the work is.

Is the feeling of being a child for the very first time in my life and that i have someone to care for me. A soothing feeling of security and the inner conscious telling “Yes you have a mother! don’t worry!!”. My life got automatically chanelised towards Amma by her grace. SHE is beyond any kind of explanation. The inner strength and love in all!

And, more and more is becomming possible for me. Amma, hold me forever, don’t ever, ever let me go!

Like many others I am also a “work in progress” My biggest change has been to constantly try and see God in everyone and remember that Amma said that if we love Her, we should love and serve all living beings. Then only can it be said that we children love Mother.

I feel that a continuous transformation process is happening within me since meeting Amma… I am staying away from few bad habits that I thought would be difficult to overcome… I rarely get angry these days… The most prominent change is the attitude to situations… as Amma says, we cannot change the situations, but our attitude to situations can make a big difference to our state of mind… I feel that I could get Amma take over the control of my life… so there are no worries….

    harimam Says:
    December 15th, 2007 at 6:06 pm

Before meeting Amma I used to feel very insecure, I didn’t know what love is. I only cried for material reasons. I thought that spiritual life is only a life of austerities without any sweetness. But now after meeting Amma I feel secure even for my future births if any, I am experiencing unadulterated love from Amma. I cry in Amma’s presence without a clear reason, and I understand that spiritual life is also so sweet.

    drsorake Says:

Amma teaches me to be independent & now i realize that i am so much more independent & happier than ever before. I never really knew that i too am Amma’s child… but now i do!
After meeting Maa, it’s the attempt to understand that life is not just ’bout this & that, but there is ‘the’ deep truth i have to & will find by Amma’s compassion & grace.

The change was immediate. It is as if Amma accompanied me after my first darshan on July 10, 2004 to my house. I felt her presence around me all the time. I had several bad habits and one of them was smoking (10 yrs off an on). Within couple of weeks that stopped. During my growing years, my outlook was very spiritual. But, as I grew older it changed and my entire being was focussed on material gains. The more frustrated I became the more I blamed the way I was raised, my preceptors, my parents and when I reached a hopeless state was when I saw Amma. Within a few years, she changed my entire outlook took it back several years, cleaned my personality and showed me that the spirituality and its values are the most that a person should pursue in his/her life. Today, I realize that it was never “I” who was doing anything. AMMA reminds me every now and then that whatever happens in life is due to HER will. Om Amriteshwariye Namah
