If I happen to not be at bhajans and see for instance the always beautiful sunset off the Arabian Sea in Vallikkavu I immediatly ponder the past day, asking was my mind as equinimious as the full spreading expanse of the glorious sky before me?

sunsets are so beautiful ! But ever since i met Amma, i visualise the sun to be the large Kumkum on Amma’s beautiful face and i start chanting ’sinduraaruna vigrahaam’.

once a day if i can. The most beautiful are the colors, and the overall feeling around that time.

I live in New Mexico. The sunsets are very colorful here. They remind me of how beautiful life is.

Every chance I get. In Amritapuri, the sunsets are much shorter because it’s closer to the equator, the sunsets are much shorter. The sun drops straight down rather than gliding diagonally downwards - so the show usually only lasts about 30 minutes where in the US, they can be well over an hour. In this short time, the color changes are so fast and so dramatic - blink and you can miss so much!

I usually don’t get to see sunsets, but I usually wake up a few minutes before sunrise which is stunning. (In the part of Iowa I live in, sunrises are almost as pretty as sunsets.) And right now, if you went outside when the sun sets, you’d be freezing very quickly. (It’s winter here, and absolutly freezing!)

I don’t get a chance to watch it usually. But I love to watch …splendid…it reminds me the beginning of another day…..just like the deaths and births

Not very often, but of course I will not miss a chance to go and watch when i really feel like.
blackpearl Says:Everything in nature has its own beauty. Rising and setting is only for us, as the Sun, really, always is the same… LIKE OUR BELOVED AMMA! The beauty of mother nature gets us closer to Amma and her teachings. That is why i feel it being special!
Anything connected to Amma is unique and special……….

Night time is my favorite time of the day, the sunset which brings night is also my favorite, the whole world calms down after sunset, only our minds are still chattering…
crvijayan Says:The sunset brings the thought, of ‘The Great Artist’ who works on this biggest canvas - the evening sky - , and makes great paintings… everyday… for human beings… to enjoy or to become sad…
I know one person who hates sunsets… he won’t even look at the evening sky.. .

In Delhi watching sunset is out of the question. However, when I am in a coastal town, I do make it a point to watch sunset. I would like to admit though that it makes me gloomy - that I have to wait till morning to see brightness again.

Rarely do I get to watch sunsets. But, the evening twilight reminds me to light the lamp and pray. Inside a voice that asks me, ‘Yet another day passed, have I moved closer to my goal?’ Closing my eyes I see Amma looking at me smiling, Her eyes full of compassion, assuring that I’m Her own. It gives me the awareness to not repeat the mistakes of the past day.

Each Sunset is a place where the tension of the opposites come to a stillpoint, a promise of balance. A place of thankful hellos and grateful goodbyes. It is when wild turkeys miraculously take flight to tall Cottonwood trees, and diverse animals gather at the pond to share a drink of water. The edges of other/outer dissolve when the sharp constrast of daylight fades.

antonio Says:The sunset is so beautiful with all the vibrant colors and the positive energy and sereneness that the moment brings within. It gives a feeling that a new dawn awaits…. which means another chance to live , another chance to love and another chance to serve…

The spectacle of a sunset can be a sublime experience. It has the effects of a deep meditation. Especially if you can enjoy it all alone and for an extended time… All thoughts stop as you sink in the enjoyment of the colors and shapes… It brings a spontanuous and intimate closeness with the Creator… You can live fully The Moment. The observer and the observed become one in an effortless way… Divine!

I don’t really watch the sunset here. To think of it, I almost never do, but when I do, it’s on the beach and just looks so gorgeous. All the colors and energy y ou feel. Just beautiful.

As a child, whenever playing on the seashore the sunset on the horizon was a wonderful sight and I used to imagine that the sea has devoured the Sun. Now being a city dweller, travelling on the road in the twilight hour, I can see a huge Orange ball following me through out my journey and it is an amazing sight indeed.

Every chance I get. Whenever I see one. it is a time to consciously pause, offer pranams to Amma, reflect, remember, dream, hope for, be present, and practice gratitude.

I love watching sunset whenever I get a chance…. The Sun by itself looks so beautiful at the time of Sunset… The Reddish / Golden colour it imparts to the clouds and sky gives a nice feeling to watch…. Sunset which marks the end of the day may be compared to the end of ones life… Death becomes a blissful experience for one who has no desires…

Sunsets..fill me with awe and wonder at the greatness of God..reminding me that all is in perfect order. And often a little rhyme resounds in my mind…red skies at night shepherds delight….red skies in the mornings shepherds warning…

as the sun sets,i realize that the song still remains unsung….the bud has not yet opened…my stringed instrument lies untouched……the whole day was spent in waiting …for you…..but in vain….as the sun sets in wonder when you will arrive at my doorstep of my heart…..amma,waiting….for another dawn, and you…..

Every week I travel towards west from my residence city to my work city. I have Amma’s affectionate looking decal (sticker on my car’s windshield)During the drive, I get a long stretch where I can look through Amma’s decal exactly through the “Bindi” or Chandanam and see the setting Sun as Amma’s Bindi. It is such a beautiful sight.
I also had couple of occasions when I caught the full Moon while travelling east from my work city to residence city and seeing through Amma’s “Bindi” was again a very beautiful and “Divine” sight.

I see sunset vertually everyday from the balcony. Cool red of ’sindur’ is slowly going down to bless the brothers and sisters complete with the whole mother nature on the other side of the globe and giving us the signal to go and rest and ‘go within’ and recharge yourself for another day.
