Amma’s first program in New Delhi was a public event at Mayur Vihar, a location one hour away by car from the Delhi Ashram. Traditional beats and music was downed in the awe-sound from the crowds of people who rushed to see her being welcomed in the traditional way. It was a simple start to a beautiful event. As the program mellowed, Amma’s Satsang, Guided Meditation and Bhajans saw a sea of calmness and a dynamic sense of peace for many who had come from their ...

8 Mar 2010, New Delhi
“Amma is in many ways the symbol of the power of love. And with Amma intellectualism is not the issue, she does not appeal at the level of the intellect. Very often she does not speak, it’s the hug and the love that comes through it. The fact that she means so much to so many people, the fact that she has done so much with that power…
I went to her ashram in Kerala and I have seen some of the relief work after the floods ...

The report from Raichur!! Today is the last day of working here for us.
We had some pieces of bread and chai for breakfast. This is the last breakfast here. Unfortunately everything is ending. I must miss the meal here…
After we got power, we started working; such as bringing sands, unloading blocks and bricks, and sprinkling water on the walls of houses. I think we worked hardest than ever because all of us did not want to regret at all. Today is the last. During the break time after the lunch, ...

4 March 2010 Raichur
This is my first trip to india. I felt so many differences between Japan and India.
First, I was surprised at unique Smell of India. I can’t explain well but it’s so impressive because there is no smell in Japan.
Second, I felt a power of religion. Almost all people in India pray to God and they have a mind which most Japanese don’t have. I think it’s great thing to live here.
Third about poverty. I have known India has a lot of problems about poverty. But when I came ...

Day 3 in Raichur
Today, we took break to visit the village which was suffered from the terrible flood. The people who live in there will move to the houses we are building right now. After the breakfast we started walking to the village. 15 minutes later, we faced to the river, so we crossed it by small and round boats. It was cool!!! It looked like a boat in a fairy tale. We got so excited.
Then, we arrived at the village. We got warmly welcomed by the adults and fantastic ...

Hi from Raichur!
Today, our second day we have keep working on Anma’s housing project.
Our group members collect and packed metals, moving hundreds of
bricks, and put sands on the foundation part of houses.
After working under the strong sunshine,we got a opportunity to go to
Shiva Temple. It is located at the top of small mountain covered with
huge rocks. We had 15mins hiking to reach the Temple.
At the peak,we sung bhajan, pray our project go well, listen to the
smooth music played by ethnic instruments. Under the full moon, I
wanted the moment never ending and felt comfortable ...
